Itai Kohavi

Founder & Chairman
Title of Memoir: Make EVOL the right way

Itai founded and successfully exited two venture-backed startup companies before WEBook. Comfy was the worldwide pioneer of interactive toys connected to PC. Comfy products sold in 14 countries, and the company went public in 1997. Following this successful exit, Itai launched the Neat Group, the first technology company to facilitate rules-based dynamic packaging in the travel industry. Founded in 1999, Neat Group boasted major investments from United Airlines, and its technology was used by Yahoo, Orbitz, and other key travel participants. Neat Group was sold to Cendant in 2003 and then to Travel Port. Itai holds a Bachelor's degree from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Itai lectures on marketing at Columbia Business School. He is the author of two novels and a children's book, and he is an enthusiastic rider of a mountain unicycle.

Sue Heilbronner

Title of Memoir: I'm all in... again

Before joining WEbook, Sue was executive vice president of sales and marketing at TIG Global, the leading provider of interactive marketing services for hospitality. Sue propelled the company to recognition as one of the ten fastest growing companies in the region in 2006. Sue previously served as executive director of business development with Discovery Communications, focusing on content licensing and marketing at Discovery.com and on brand extension opportunities for Discovery's 15 television network brands and shows. Sue co-authored two books on Internet marketing, and she lectures frequently on web trends. Sue received a bachelor's degree in government from Oberlin College and both a law degree and a master's degree in public policy from Duke University. Sue loves the feel of a well-groomed fairway under her feet.

Alon Golan

Vice President Technology Development
Title of Memoir: I'll get it right the second time around

Before joining WEbook, Alon was senior software engineer with PayPal, the global leader in online payment solutions. At PayPal, Alon was involved in the first internationalization and localization efforts, the inaugural API (PayPal Pro) team, the first PayPal Mobile team, the Verisign integration, and the integration of Skype payments into the PayPal system. Previously, Alon held roles key software engineering roles with Charlotte's Web Networks and Microsoft Corporation. Alon earned his BSc in computer science from Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.

Lark Dunham

Vice President Product Development
Title of Memoir: Tales of an Endorphin Junkie

Prior to joining WEbook, Lark was the Director of Product Development at The Map Network, a digital mapping application company that was acquired by NAVTEQ. There, Lark oversaw product development efforts and strategy for the portfolio of web and mobile applications. Previously, Lark was Director of Product Management at AOL where she oversaw the company's community platform applications. Lark arrived at AOL through the acquisition of Netscape Communications. Prior to Netscape she led product marketing and management efforts at internet startups AtWeb and E-Script. Lark earned her MBA at the University of California at Berkeley. Lark is an avid endurance athlete, participating in triathlons, marathons and ultramarathons.

Eran Amitai

Vice President R & D
Title of Memoir: Blessed

Before joining WEbook, Eran was a senior software engineer at Google, working on infrastructure projects to improve utilization. Previously Eran was a senior developer and team lead at WSG Systems Corp., a software company with a range of products for project and resource management and accounting. Eran previously worked in Comfy Interactive Movies’ R&D team and at Sapiens Technologies as an assembler programmer for IBM mainframes. Eran earned his BSc in physics and math from the Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Eran enjoys hiking up mountains but given a choice would rather ski them down.

John Wergeles

Vice President Marketing & Business Development
Title of Memoir: No Worries

Before joining Webook, John was a director of marketing with Energizer Personal Care, a division of Energizer Holdings. John was a key leader in defining the strategy that drove significant growth of the company with specific focus on product and marketing innovation. In 2004, Business Week recognized one of his launches as one of the top 15 new product launches in the country. Prior to Energizer, John held marketing roles with James River and H.J. Heinz. John has a Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College. John likes to play tennis and coach his kids’ soccer and baseball teams.
