Itai Kohavi

Founder & CEO
Title of Memoir: Make EVOL the right way

Itai founded two venture-backed startup companies before WEBook. Comfy was the worldwide pioneer of interactive toys connected to PC. Comfy products sold in 14 countries, and the company went public in 1997. After Comfy, Itai launched the Neat Group, the first technology company to facilitate rules-based dynamic packaging in the travel industry. Founded in 1999, Neat Group boasted major investments from United Airlines, and its technology was used by Yahoo, Orbitz, and other key travel participants. Neat Group was sold to Cendant in 2003 and then to Travel Port. Itai holds a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from Tel Aviv University and the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. He is the author of two novels and a children's book, and he is an enthusiastic rider of a mountain unicycle.

Ardy Khazaei

President
Title of Memoir: Feed me NOW -- or suffer the consequences

Ardy Khazaei has been working in the digital media industry for nearly fifteen years, as an entrepreneur, and a corporate executive in a number of media companies—including six years at HarperCollins Publisher where he was the SVP of Electronic Media, responsible for the company's digital businesses, making HarperCollins an industry leader in electronic publishing and online marketing. Prior to WEbook, Ardy was the founder of MyHound.com, a consumer online service that allows users to manage and track all of their entertainment interests as well as discover new artists that match their tastes. He has also worked as a management consultant in a variety of industries, especially digital and traditional media—some of the companies where he worked include Booz Allen (now Booz & Co.) and Viant. Ardy holds BA degrees from UC Berkeley, in Comparative Literature as well as Economics. He is an avid tennis fan and continues to work on his inside-out forehand.

Eran Amitai

Vice President R & D
Title of Memoir: Blessed

Before joining WEbook, Eran was a software engineer at Google, working on infrastructure projects to improve utilization. Previously Eran was a senior developer and team lead at WSG Systems Corp., a software company with a range of products for project and resource management and accounting. Eran previously worked in Comfy Interactive Movies’ R&D team and at Sapiens Technologies as an assembler programmer for IBM mainframes. Eran earned his BSc in physics and math from the Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Eran enjoys hiking up mountains but given a choice would rather ski them down.

Tony Jiang

Senior Software Engineer
Title of Memoir: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start

Tony graduated from UC Davis armed with a computer science degree. His first job consisted of testing and ensuring the scalability of one of the industry's first web B2B payment platform at the startup company Signio (acquired by VeriSign). Later, he joined EBay and worked as a build engineer automating and streamlining processes to enable the accelerating growth and stability of the development environments. Prior to joining WEbook, Tony was in the PayPal/Skype integration group developing new client features. Besides working with software, Tony has enjoyed being an avid gamer since the days of the Atari.

Kimberly McGraw

Software Architect
Title of Memoir: SELECT * FROM my_life

Before joining WEbook, Kimberly wrote software for designing custom-printed apparel and goods at Zazzle.com. Before that, she developed real-time web reports at Istante Software and Oracle after the startup was acquired. She earned her BS in Computer Science from Stanford University. Kimberly loves playing all kinds of strategy and puzzle games.

Yotam Hadass

Yotam Hadass has been writing software for over a decade. Before he joined WEbook, he spent five cheerful years developing and managing the software team at Sarin Technologies. In his alternate life he is a poet; he holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, and he is also the co-founder and avid editor of Leveler, an online poetry magazine.

Daniel Marsh

Web UI Developer
Title of Memoir: Not as in the Hour of Thoughtless Youth

Dan has worked in the web industry for over 2 years. Before joining WEbook, he was an Interactive Developer at Valtira LLC, producer of an on-demand web marketing tool suite. Dan holds a BS degree from the University of Southern California in Computer Science. When he is not behind his computer screen, Dan enjoys swimming laps in the pool.

Katie Krum

Marketing Manager
Title of Memoir: Dancing All the Time

Katie has been part of the marketing team at WEbook since November 2008. Prior to joining WEbook, Katie managed the marketing and communications for a start-up insurance company called PURE. Katie coordinated all aspects of PURE's marketing campaigns including PR, print, TV and online. Katie started her career at Makovsky & Company a PR firm in New York City. She graduated from Princeton University with a BA in History and a certificate in American Studies. She is currently working towards a Masters in Integrated Marketing at NYU. Katie enjoys spending time with friends, playing pick-up soccer and baking cookies.

Tim Barash

Finance and Operation Manager
Title of Memoir: Life Is

Prior to joining WEbook, Tim was VP of Operations for manufacturing firm Magnum Research Corp. Tim improved Magnum’s business model by rewiring the accounting systems & practices, analyzing costs & commission structures, introducing new financial instruments, and negotiating new partnerships. He began his career as a computer consultant before graduating from SUNY Stony Brook with a BS in Finance, all while running an independent record label. Tim enjoys philosophy, skiing, and collecting vinyl.
