hey i liked your idea on the pendants it sounded really interesting to me. if you don't mind do i could adopt that. it sounds cool to me, if you could just explain a lil bit more about it I could see if I could work with it.

This a great idea! I have millions of ideas in my head. I'll give my favourite one. I absolutly love this idea (and am proud at my imagination for coming up for it!), but I'll offer it up for adoption because 1) I'm already writing something else. 2) I'm not sure I, myself, could pull it off.
Asrtid (name her what you like, it was the only name I could come up with that kind of fit) is a Black hole. Supposdly the last one left. The Black Holes were obliterated (including her parents) when she was a child by the Stars. Think Hitler, concentration camp thing. The Stars used to be prey to the Black Holes, but (unlike our world, where humans are pretty much the smartest animals) both species had high intelligence. So the Stars fought back and overwhelmed the Black Holes by numbers, deadly weapons and surprise attacks (no-one expects prey to fight back after all). So the Black Holes were sent into concentration camp things, where concentrated Star energy was filtered into the chambers. Already weakend from lack of food and water, the Black Holes weakened and eventually died. Except for Astrid. Somehow she survived, and continued to survive no matter what efforts The Stars put in. Her hair remained ink black. (Black Holes always had Black Hair, but when they weaken it lightens until, by the time they died, most of the Black Holes were white-haired. Stars always have blonde hair, it can be dirt blonde, bleach blonde, almost white, doesn't matter).
So Astrid was made an official citizen of the Star city (don't have a name). She was hated and feared by most, bullied by the other children in the ophanage, to which the adults turned a blind eye. (She was five when her parents were killed.) Astrid became a somber person who didn't often show her emotions. In the main storyline she is about sixteen. When she was ten, she was taken out of the orphanage and put in her own, tiny apartment. But she likes it. She becomes, well I'm not completely sure what it is, but she protects the government, is taught to fight and is sometimes sent on missions (escorting important people, assassinations, ect...).
She finds Leo, a small, abused boy (a star) cowering in an alley way. She feeds him and cleans him up, in the process helping him get over his initial fear of her (Black Holes are predators, and they did hunt Stars. Stars have an instictual fear of black holes, but it can be overcome quite easily.) She tries to take him to the orphanage, but he won't leave her, because he has become emotionally attached to her and almost thinks of her as his hero. He admires her a lot. So Leo lives with Astrid, starts school ect, and Astrid finds she now has someone to love and care for. (Here's a plot bunny I got when thinking of this: Astrid's POV: It was a strange thing, responsibility. I suddenly had to be careful who I angered, because it wasn't just my life I was protecting any more.)
Unknown to her, the government (there's a main character in it, but he doesn't have a name.) are curious as to why her power hasn't depleted over the years. Black Holes have a much longer life span then stars, but with her time in the concentration camp, surrounded by all that star energy and then the years she has spent completely surrounded by stars, her power should of at least weakened, if she lived. Yet she is powerful as ever, much stronger then anyone star (which is usual for a Black Hole, they were the predators after all). They are specualating if she is the incarnate of the First Black Hole. When Stars were hunted and dumber, they believed Black Holes as all-powerful, indestructable, all-destroying beings; that is what is known as The First Black Hole.
When Astrid hears of this speculation she doesn't believe it; there's no way she's an all-powerful being. In time, Astrid gets sent on a mission to destroy some Black Holes which had been discovered. She is shocked to learn that she isn't the last of her kind, and she doesn't know what to do. (Another plot bunny, Astrid POV: I was speechless. I'd resigned myself to the fact that I was the last. Now there is another sitting not two meters away.)
WOW, that was long. And I haven't described the characters relationships with each other, or how Astrid only wears a black hooded cape instead of one embroided with stars. Maybe I can write this after all. But I'll keep this up: for other writers to look at, and for myself; this is probably the best explanation of the story I have done. It helps to write down your ideas. Even if it does kill your hand.

I was just thinking of a story that I know I couldn't possibly write. What if we lived in a world where depression doesn't exist or isn't supposed to, but demons or whathave you from a different dimension start feeding on our spirits, sucking our happiness away and pushing humanity towards their ultimate meal ... our souls, which they can only get from those of us that take our own lives. Once we commit suicide our souls are even more vulnerable to the demons and the more of us they can kill the more they can gorge.
Whoever wants it or knows someone who can morph it into something much better ... feel free and let me know so I can read it :-)

More of a... blurb maybe than an actual plot, but its something I've had buzzing around in my head for a while.
GirlA has abused drugs since highschool, after the death of one of her friends. GirlA became a prostitute in order to afford drugs and alcohol. She used to be a genius, but now she's nothing but shambles.
One year, at the graveyard where GirlA's friend is buried, she is found by her two old best friends, GirlB and GirlC. Upset at the condition their friend is in, GirlB and GirlC take in GirlA and try to teach her how to live again.

Would be thought-provoking if well developed.
You should also decide in time what genre of fiction your work would end up. I guess that will justify the development of your story.

I would write this plot myself, but I'm already working on one project, and I don't think I'm experienced enough to write the storyline anyway:
Man 1 murders Man 2. Man 1 gets permanent amnesia and can't remember anything; he's a new being in an adult body. Police find that Man 1 murdered Man 2; Man 1 is arrested. Being a new person, does Man 1 go to jail for something his body did?

Aha! A way to express my ideas that I once thought could be stories (silly me)
These aren't much of plots, more of ideas
There are seven pendants all featuring a different magical being, dragon, unicorn, minotaur, phoenix, mermaid, gryffin, centaur. Seven teenagers, some best friends, some outcasts, and whatnot. Who normally aren't all connected now discover they have a connection through the pendants. They learn of a plot about the darkness blah blah blah... must save the world blah blah blah. It was a lame story in my opinion, but thats just me. I called it Spirit Keepers. But if anyone wants if feel free to make it better.
A dragon story. Dragons were once immensely powerful beings, harnessing the power of all elements, fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, mind, dark, and light. But also each one had their one unique ability (i.g. dreams, luck). Well as time came by, the race of dragons dwindled somehow. Soon they could only breed dragons with one elemental aspect without the seperate ability (and some with only an ability). Soon the all powerful dragons died out. Well years later a dark dragon was born with the element of darkness, and an ability, the ability to take another dragon's ability. He reigned in terror (blah blah blah). And soon another dragon was born with two powers one with fire and mind. But this strange dragon (Siger, he has black and white tiger stripes) with an unknown ability shows up and the fire/mind dragon is called to his destiny. Well the dark dragon steals an ability that puts others to sleep and so he forces all the dragons to fall into a deep sleep. Only three were unaffected, the fire/mind dragon who learned of the plot from a light dragon who had a prophecy, Siger, and the light dragon with the prophecy. Siger tells the fire/mind dragon of his ability. He is the one who reveals dragons' abilities. Siger reveals the fire/mind dragons ability. He is to bring back the mightiness of the past dragons, for he will become the first all powerful one in centuries. Well in the meantime, the dark dragon wants to kill humans, who he thinks are barbaric, but the protaganist dragon realizes that the key to the dragons existence (or something like that) is in the humans. The dark dragon finds out where the last of the humans are hiding in a remote island called Dragonmist. I called it Dragonmist (but you don't have to)
Wow that was a long summary.

You've got a plot that's been floating around in your head for awhile. You may use it; you may not. Either way, your willing to post it for adoption. Do so here.
(This thread is also a great place to search for new ideas!)
