I think I know what your issue is. When you're inserting a link to an image, you need to make sure that you're not duplicating the http:// part when the link is being pasted in to the pop-up box.
Have a go again, making sure it's not duplicated and if there's still an issue, mail me direct in to inbox and I'll have a look in to it for you in more detail.

I submitted a book idea and I went through the process of inserting an image (the sample book cover) which is only showing up as the text description of the image but not the image itself. Instead of displaying the image it looks like a tiny square where the image should be. Any help would be awesome!
Here's an attempt to submit the image in this topic:
Dear WEbook writers and readers,
After five wonderful years of running WEbook.com, it is with great sadness that we have decided to close the site. We are one of the last to take this step but despite spending a huge amount of our own money, at some point the money runs out and we, like Book Country, Authonomy, Figment and many others, have been forced to make this painful decision.
The lights will be turned off for a final time on March 31st 2018, after which WEbook.com will cease to exist. Any work that you would like to retain must be downloaded from your account by midnight GMT on March 31st, 2018. Anything that is left on the site after this will be unrecoverable in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1998.
Although our time with WEbook has come to an end, if you would like to make us a serious offer, now is your opportunity. Drop us a line at: email@example.com
WEbook has taken us on a wonderful journey, with a group of really talented writers. Thank you to everyone for putting so much effort into the site, and of course into each other's writing.
Just don’t stop writing because of us!
