Hello fellow Webookers,
I'm attending my very first writers conference in a few weeks and I'm frantically trying to write and memorize my pitch for the agents and publishers. The problem is that I don't know where to begin. I don't know what they're looking for. I've found oodles of query letter samples online, websites that tell you what does and doesn't work in a query letter, but nothing about pitching to the pros.
Can anyone tell me a website or blog that lists some pitching examples (and no, I don't have the money or the time to buy a book about it. I spent all my money on the outrageously expensive conference.)
Thank you all for your help.
