I'd like to get some feedback on the first two chapters of a historical romance novel I'm writing. It's in the traditional vein of historical romance.  It may remind you of some written in the late 90s or early 2000s, many of which were very good.  I am a firm believer that romances can be written beautifully. My novel is different because it is set in the 20th century (early 1920s), whereas most are Regency/Victorian/Highland/Medieval. I'm looking to tap into an era that hasn't been written about as extensively but keeps the sweeping tradition of romance alive.
