Born in to a mining village in Yorkshire back in the swinging sixties I grew up enjoying the security of a close family. I was perhaps the blacksheep when a teenager which caused a lot of conflict, particularly with my father. I always felt somehow "different", destined for great things. I dreamed of being an actor but remember being told to forget it and find a proper job. As I grew older I followed the advice and stumbled through life without ever finding real fulfilment. I have been a clerk, a salesmen, a security guard, an industrial cleaner, a grill chef, a gangmaster, a market trader, an electrician's mate, a driver, a manager, a barman etc. I have been employed, self employed and I have employed others. My emotional life has been equally turbulent. I have married three times!. Regrets? None! I have three wonderful kids and a lovely grandson who are my life. With my new wife, Angie, I have grown my brood by two more daughters and three granddaughters who are great. The one thing my varied life has given me is a wide subject area in which to indulge my passion...Writing! So here I am...destined for great things!
