In short

  • *** I currently have poems submitted in the WEbook Poetry Contest. The voting runs from August 1 - 31, 2009, and I would be honored if you would check out my entries, vote if you like them, and then take the time to check out some of the other submissions up for voting! Here's my link >>> http://www.webook.com/inviteProjectMembers.aspx?p=13befbe76247481a8c752e031d6634ba ... Thanks everyone & have a wonderful day! "

I am 47 years, divorced, disabled, mom of two, "MoMo" to my grandchildren, and have a love of learning. I started writing poems when I was in high school - mostly because of assignments - but soon learned that poetry was an outlet I could use to voice my feelings. As I have gotten older, I still write poems, but not as often as I once did, but I still write them. In addition to poetry, I also have discovered the world of blogging and that has given me the ability to put my thoughts and opinions into a public forum, as well as an opportunity to educate people on my illness and other controversial subjects.

I look forward to any and all criticism as I believe that without it, we cannot grow as writers or people ...

  • At 45, I decided to return to school and pursue a Business Administration degree, which I plan to convert into an Accounting Degree. At the end of my first semester of college, I had an overall GPA of 4.0 and had been offered membership in Phi Theta Kappa, the Honor Society for 2-Year Colleges.
