  • As a mechanical engineering and German major, writing stories allows me to really play in a steampunk sandbox, apply things I've learned for a realistic backdrop, and keep my skill with the written word up to par (because grammar and spelling aren't so important (unfortunately) for many engineers) with more literary endeavors.
