In short

  • I've been out of the writing game for a while, but I'm pretty excited to be getting back into it. My name's Alex. I'm about a year away from finishing up my Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology and Neuroscience, and from there I'm headed (hopefully) to medical school to become a neurosurgeon. So you'd think I'd be a sci-fi writer, right? Wrong. I'm a big fan of and pretty much exclusively write fantasy (although that doesn't mean that other genres can't be incorporated into it). I'm actually pretty big into the arts - drawing, piano, saxophone, philosophical debates that go on forever, history, English, etc.

A quick note on feedback: The best way to get my attention turned toward your own projects is to give feedback to mine. Not that I'm not going to read other people's work in my spare time too, but I think feedback should be more like an exchange than a request. Hopefully that makes sense and doesn't make me seem like I hate everyone (I really don't!). I'm not a professional editor or anything, but I'm pretty good at catching grammar tweaks if needed.

    Happy writing everyone :)

  • One of Canada's top artists told me that he loved my book cover (which I drew) and signed it for me. Although I'll be honest, I can't remember his name...
