About me:
Andre Davis was born and raised in Wichita Kansas. During his seven years of writing, he has received several awards. March of 2005 he was inspired to complete his first book of poetry “To Live and To Love.” In September of 2005 he saw his first self-published book in print for the first time. He has been published in the November 2005 and the March 2007 edition of Essence Magazine as a featured poet. An article was published by the Community Voice in regards to the release date of his nationally published book “The Sky is Waiting.” In addition he has been a featured guest on the internet radio talk show for letstalkhonestly.com. His inspirations are the daily lives of people who are around him. “Hard times give us all a reason to write.” He is a veteran of the United States Navy, and currently resides in Wichita.
