In short

  • I'm a new writing student who is looking to eventually get published some day.  I've already taken some writing workshops and I recommend any potential writers attend some because they're alot of fun.  You meet new people while working on your writing skills.

I've been reading up on the world of writing for about 3 years now.  I've been doing this by attending workshops and taking notes from many books on writing and the business of writing.  I will still need to do this even after I become a published writer because there is always something new to learn about the business.

  • I love to write and anything to do with writing but I don't want to become famous from it.  To me, writing is NOT about fame and fortune but rather doing the very best work that you can possibly do and keep it at that level.  Fame and fortune should be the very last thing on someone's mind if they choose to write because if they get too preoccupied with them, they won't become good writers.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Fiction: Historical Fiction, Multicultural, Mystery, Novella, Short Story, Sports & Adventure

Non-Fiction: Biography, Computing & Internet, History, Memoir/Narrative Non-fiction, Reference, Sex & Relationships, Sports & Adventure, Travel

    Screenplay: Documentary

  • Anything that deals with with Native Indian, Inuit and Metis people of the Americas as well as anything about lacrosse.  I have no particular faves.  As long as the work is accurate and non-biased, then I will gladly read it.
  • I am always reading something different.  But right now, I am reading 2 different magazine publications:  Inside Lacrosse and US Lacrosse.
  • At home, libraries and bookstores.
  • I always keep a journal since it's a great way to practice your writing.  Of course, not every writer will carry one since journaling doesn't always work.  But for most, it is an important tool to have.
  • Fiction: Action/Adventure, Historical Fiction, Literary, Multicultural, Mystery, Novella, Short Story, Sports & Adventure, Thriller/Suspense
