In short

  • I am an avid reader that enjoys fiction and non-fiction books.

What I found lacking is international books published in US. Very few are translated into English. This made me decide to start working on translating a classic Brazilian book (currently in public domain) into English.

Currently I am working on translating "A Escrava Isaura" by Bernardo Guimarães. This classic book has been made into a Soap-opera by Globo in 1976 (a Brazilian broadcasting channel) that was viewed in many European and Asian countries. There is a 2005 remake of the soap opera (but from what I hear not as good as the first version).  Soon, you will be able to read the English translation of this classic book.
