In short

  • I love to read and everything about it. Before my life is over, I would like to be a  librarian with horn-rimmed glasses, knee-length argyle socks, a bun on the top of my head, and bright red lipstick on my teeth.
I've always been weird like that.
In fact, when I was little, my older and more esteemed sister had her own pair of round-rimmed, flowery glasses. Naturally, since I had no sense of what was "cool" in society, I wanted glasses too. I had been told by parents and teachers alike that staring at the sun and reading in the dark were bad for your eyesight. So, I would do those two things almost everyday. Particularly read in the dark since I already was trying to read under the covers with a huge plastic flashlight I had found in the bottom of my dad's toolbox. I also refused to eat carrots. I wasn't going to take any chances. By the middle of 2nd grade I was considered eligible to receive glasses and after a few crocodile tears and pitiful whines (almost definitely for show) I received my own pair of glasses. Since then I have hated myself for making such a decision.

  • I may not be the most distinguished of writers, but I have been told by friends, family, and teachers that they thoroughly enjoy my writing so I thought I would give this a chance.
