• About me:

  I was born in Chicago, IL with an immune disorder. After a year as a bubble baby, I went on to lead a fairly normal life. I finished high school and attended St. Edward's University in Austin, TX, where I earned a BS in Criminal Justice in 2001. I continued my studies at St. Edward's as part of the graduate program. I then earned a Master of Liberal Arts degree in 2003. Later, an attempt for a PhD at the University of Texas at Dallas was cut short due to health reasons. Nevertheless, I earned another Master's degree in 2008, and returned to Austin, TX to restore my health and be amongst family and loved ones.

• My claim to fame: As noted above, I was a bubble baby. I had an immune disorder and had to undergo a bone marrow transplant. I forget why, but it was a big enough deal that I was in Chicago and some national newspapers. I even got a visit from the Harlem Globetrotters.
