In short

  • I'm an avid moviegoer.  Surely I will one day write a novel about that obsession. My book fall into categories like:  speculative fiction, soft sci-fi, fabulism, magic realism. My first novel THE PROSPECT OF MY ARRIVAL was a finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards.  I live in Chicago.  My new novel in progress is called THE HOPE STORE.  My upcoming projects are maybe titled:  THE UN-GUN and SLUMBER PARTIES FOR GROWNUPS.  My site is:

  • Fiction: Gay/Lesbian, Literary, Multicultural, Sci Fi/Fantasy, Thriller/Suspense

  • I enjoyed Never Let Me Go by Ishiguro (though I think I'll like the movie even better!), Margaret Atwood, Chuck Palahniuk.  Loved Curious Incident of the Dog by Mark Haddon, The Boy Detective Fails by Joe Meno.  Want to read work by Aimee Bender.  Enjoyed Generosity by Richard Powers.  Loved Devli in the White City.  Up in the Air by Walter Kirn.  The Hours by Michael Cunningham.  Crossing by Andrew Fukuda.
