In short

  • I'm Australian, tallish, grey eyes, short brown hair, training to be a body builder, in the Air Force, single and with a fondness for brightly coloured ties. Still do a lot of designing, photography and artwork - each of my submissions has a small piece.

  • Dropped out of signwriting tradeschool, dropped out of art school, dropped out of fashion design, completed a writing diploma (so I did finish something I started... finally) and joined the air force - which doesn't allow you to drop out. Or else.
I'm training to be a bodybuilder, but it's a slow process, and I'm fond of motor bikes and scooters. Used to be a roleplayer but now I just write - it cuts out the middle-man. I'm a non-planning writer in style; I have an idea and maybe and ending, some characters or dialogue, and from there I start writing and see what happens. I wish I was one of those organised, card-writing authors but I'm not. I like to see where a story takes me - I get to read it along the way and surprise mysef most of the time.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Fiction: Crime, Historical Fiction, Horror, Humor/Satire, Military/Espionage, Mystery, Religious/Inspirational, Sci Fi/Fantasy

Non-Fiction: History, Humor, Reference, Religion, Science, True Crime

  • Too many - see authors (above)
  • Working through the entire series of Nero Wolfe books by Rex Stout, as well as the Adventures of Brigadier Etienne Gerard, by Conan-Doyle.
  • Horror - in the bath
Sci-fi - at the kitchen table with a cuppa
Fantasy - on the sofa with my feet up
    Non-fiction - on the train

Also The Knowledgeables, a present-day dark fantasy; The Hammer of Machera, a fantasy novel; Rufus Nox, a sci-fi novel; Pain Mage, a fantasy religious-political novel; The Wild Throne, a fantasy alternate history series; Starlight, Starbright, a sci-fi series; and a bunch of horror/fantasy stories.        So far.
