Any books about zombies

I'm not Victorian. I hardly read entire books. I read chapters that interest me.

A twisted thorn tree behind my building. My building's a huge complex surrounded by a sprawling yard and I live alone. Bird songs all day though it's a cold and windy hilltop when the sun goes down. It's a hardy tree with rocks at the foot there's nowhere more peaceful.

A Tree in a barren wilderness

My favorite authors are unpublished. They roam around the Jacaranda City looking for stories, feeding on stories all day, all night. It's a feast when I meet them in the southern summer.
