  • I'm currently working on getting some people to read only a page of my book. See, that's the hard part, getting them to read on. If you could get someone to read your book all the way through, they'd all get published.

In short

  • My name is Drew Kinney. I am a college student in Rochester, N.Y. I study political science along with communications with a specialization in journalism. I have been writing poems and song lyrics for about a year and a half. I wrote my first novella in my fourth semester at St. John Fisher College and it took me only that semester. I have been editing it with my sister, Stephanie Macro, for about a year.

I have recently took up playing the guitar and have advanced tremendously. I can already compose songs and sing while I play. I have been working with a friend of mine composing songs and putting some of my lyrics and poems to music.

An interesting fact about me is that I am a strong supporter of living life to the fullest. Recently I moved to San Francisco, Califnornia from my home in New York. It was an interesting experience that I would never take back, though it did not work out. I am back in New York and have written a lengthy poem about my experience. I have also been working on a song with the poem as its lyrics. The poem, Living Loving Elsewhere, is about discovering the true meaning of the expression, "its the people not the place."

Though I study politics and the media at St. John Fisher, I would love to publish some works before attending law school so that I can become a full time writer. Quite frankly, I do not want to wear a suit and tie everyday. Thank you for reading my work.

    Sincerely,
    Holland Drew
