In short

  • Since completing a BIS (publishing) degree at the University of Pretoria in 2001, I have been involved in online and print publishing and media within various industries including information technology, gaming, social media, conferencing, government, consumer, advertising, entertainment and music - predominantly as a writer.

I currently work as a freelance writer, sub-editor and proofreader. I have also recently began expressing myself in Afrikaans and through music.

My yearning for wide open spaces and stress-free silences often takes me away from the city where I can allow the beauty of nature to re-ignite my creativity. I found her heart beats loudest when surrounded by the koppies of the mid-Karoo, specifically in a little town that time forgot - called Steynsburg.

  • I came first in The Write Company's annual short story writing competition in 2009, and have recently been a judge for both the Pica and AdMag Awards. I have had my poetry published on various online mediums and am hoping to have some pieces published in a coffee table book next year.
