  I am an award-winning print media journalist who has by-lined across Western Canada for more than 20 years. I have provided coverage of a Royal Visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and have met and covered campaigns of seven of Canada's last 10 Prime Ministers. I am also a retired professional fire fighter with 20 years experience of putting the wet stuff on the red stuff and served on the national executive of the Canadian Association of Fire Fighters as a Regional Vice-President and as Secretary-Treasurer and have the distinction of being named the association's first honourary life member. I have also been a rodeo administrator having served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Canadian Cowboys' Association (one of the largest semi-professional rodeo cowboy associations in the world). I am working on two or three projects including a collection of rhyming children's poems and a rodeo novel.
