In short

  • My friends often claim that I have lived several lives.  For certain, my adult life could not have been predicted from my adolescence or childhood, but who could have predicted where they ended up.  Perhaps the greatest "claim to fame" is that I am a self made person.  Not in wealth or material possession, of which I unfortunately have few, but of intellectual and spiritual wealth. This type of wealth is often the product of the journey and not necessarily a sign of 'success' of the accumulator.  Whatever, what little wisdom I have acquired, it is my greatest pleasure to share it with others, especially fellow sojourners.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Difficult to pin down:
    A time to Kill by Grisham;  The Hunt for Red October by Clancy;
  • Actually rereading all my favorite authors for the umpteenth time, this time I'm exploring how they switch Point-of-View between characters within the same scene (if in fact they do).m
  • Either at my patio table with a jug of ice tea and my feet resting on a cushioned chair, or lying in my bed at night reading by the light of my bed lamp, listening to the sweet cadence of my wife's deep slumber.
  • One of my protagonists - young, sexy, loved and oh so sure of themselves.
  • Grisham, Sparks, Clancy
