I was born in Lubbock, Texas and am related to the great Edgar Cayce, the "Sleeping Prophet."  If I could dictate books in my sleep, the way he did cures, that would be awesome!

At the age of 9 my father handed me Ray Bradbury's "The Martian Chronicles" and told me to be quiet while everyone else took a nap (I wasn't the napping type).  While wading through the vocabulary of his book I fell in love with science fiction, and it wasn't long before I fell in love with fantasy too.  Eventually fantasy became my favorite genre.

Sometimes I feel like a teen trapped in an adult body.  My body keeps getting older, but my head keeps liking the latest music and fun clothes and YA TV/Lit.  I told my family I want to be the 90-year old lady bouncing out to check her mailbox in her purple leggings and cami and magenta off the shoulder baggy top, singing something current.  Screw aging!  I'm not going down without a fight!
