  • Pretty much anything I've have read by Stephen King, but espcially his writing memoir, "On Writing". Seriously, if you haven't read it--DO IT!--like right now. Just stop reading this rambling profile and go find a copy.
Other than Mr. King's novels a few other favorites are Jane Eyre (Bronte), Jesus' Son (Denis Johnson), The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger), The Great Gatsby (Fitzgerald), Man Without a Country (Vonnegut), Mrs. Dalloway (V. Woolf), Life of Pi (Yann Martel), The Secret History (Donna Tartt), and The Secret Friend (Donna Tartt) Anne of Green Gables (Montgomery).
  • Wetlands by Charlotte Roche (squirmy stuff, this book).
  • Somewhere quiet and comfortable. And perferably In any kind of furniture that rocks/swings: rocking chair, hammock, recliners, gliders, porch swings. To move with the words is bliss.
  • So far, a handful of non-ficiton narrative essays. They've just been workshopped in college courses, but not sent out for publication. Because I'm a perfectionist and they never seem ready. And because I'm a chicken.

I'm also dipping my toe into fiction writing, but the works are newborn little babies that I haven't shown to anyone.
