I'm a cynic and a smart-ass and I'm considerably more confident in my own abilities than is in any way merited.  I enjoy receiving constructive criticism immensely.  I'm easily offended, and easily reconciled with.  I don't hold grudges, but I suspect this is a symptom of laziness more than of good moral fiber.  I tend to suffer from long bouts with writer's block followed intermittently by periods of nearly frantic keyboard activity.  I game too much, I sleep too little and I drink more caffeine than God could possibly have intended when he gave those monks the inspiration to brew those coffee beans.

I argue too much over the internet.

I teach the cello to pad my wallet and enjoy photography to drain it.  I swing-dance regularly and fantasize that it keeps my beer-gut tolerably small.  I'm a beer snob, with a preference for dark lagers in general and Schlafly reserves in particular, but quite honestly I'd rather get drunk on mediocre wine.

I'm a reasonably competent poet, but I can't write a short story to save my life, so I'm trying my hand at a long one.  I'm in desperate need of the input and guidance of other writers.

I generally don't bite.
