    NOT CLAIMS TO FAME, BUT READ 'EM ANYWAY:

    It is my practice to turn down any and all project invitations.  A project may come along that changes my mind, but I am not a collaborative sort of person, in general.  I will simply reject any project invitations I receive.  You will hate me for it, and send me dead rats and chickens, but it won't change my mind.  Eventually, you will come to realize that it was all for your own good, but you will never quite forgive me.

    The project that changes my mind, by the way, will not introduce itself to me via a cold-call project invitation, but through the dazzling wit and lightning repartee of the project leader, shining through the forums.

    I am the group leader of a group called "Testing, testing..."  This is a closed group.  It's not any fun.  You wouldn't like it.  When you request to join anyway, I will simply turn you down, and you shouldn't take it anywhere nearly as personally as you're going to.  You will mope about it for days, reflecting on what a horrible person I am.  Soon, though, you will realize this, too, was for your own good.

    Before you send me messages asking me to review your work, please read my project-in-progress, "Seeking Excellence."  If you don't think you want the person who wrote that reviewing your work, then don't ask, 'cause that's who I am.

    Thank you for reading, and I'll see you in the forums (why isn't that "fora"?)

    Actually, I won't, 'cause they squeezed all the life out of the forums a long time ago, and I never come around here anymore.
