Hello:  I may be out of place here as I am older probably than most of the writers.  I have always wanted to be a writer, but just never had the courage to actually sit down and start writing.  My first attempt was a short book of memoirs.  So far I am not published, but hope for the best.  I think probably I would enjoy writing mysteries or something like Jodi Picoult or Anita Shreve write.  I do like controversial subjects to write about.
