  A Word... or Several
  
  My stories are not penned in black and white. Right and wrong, love and hate, will all overlap. I aim for complexity because I think that humans are very complicated and we often don't afford that same nature to our fictional characters.
  
  I exploit strengths, turning them into weaknesses. Existing weaknesses are fair game and often control the characters. In my short life, I've seen how much control over their lives that people truly lack. Emotions are our driving force, and we rarely stop to consider what we are doing to those around us. We act without thinking, closing our minds to the perceptions of others.Some of us look for sadness so that we may wallow in it. Yet, humor is so important to our species, and others will not hesitate to laugh when grappling with tragedy.
  
  My characters will laugh, they will cry, they will have joys and they will have sorrows. In the end, it won't matter what happened to the characters or how much material wealth they gained. What matters is how they affected the other characters, the connections that they made and the changes they underwent. I absolutely torture my characters, denying them instant love and happiness, but it's all in the name of growth and development. Life is pain, but the smiles and laughs we accumulate make it all worthwhile.
  
  An ending is never truly the end, for every perceived end becomes another beginning.
