In short

  • Hi, I'm Amanda! I'm a sophomore living in Wisconsin, and I've joined WEbook not only for inspiration but because I want to kick myself into writing more, improving myself, writing more- for me and for others.  Plus, I don't see a downside to improving my writing skills in any way! So here I am.

I'm also a self-proclaimed artist and a huuge procrastinator (Be suprised I got around to signing up for WEbook, you should) as well as just plain lazy in all accounts.

I've got some goals. One of them is to write for 10 minutes daily. I'll use prompts from life, from the internet, from friends, from writing communities, et cetera. You'd be suprised at how many prompts I have written down in notebooks scattered accross my room, which is a horrible mess. I am the only teenager on the planet earth that both enjoys and willingly spends her free time taking notes. Heck, I enjoy taking notes in math class just because they're notes, I'm that silly about it. At least it means I've got a lot of prompts hanging around.  If I get around to polishing something, or I get a novel idea (I'm totally hyped about JulNoWriMo and NaNoWriMo but I never get around to thinking up ideas, haha...) You can expect to see me polish it up and post it here. ;D

Anyway, I'll close. There's only so much about myself I can talk about, haha.

Also I'm sooo totally Introverted so if you want to talk to me you have to be the one who keeps things going. I'll probably forget this site exists in a month and come back a year later. (I've done this on multiple sites, so motivation would be loved, if anyone has any)

  • I've had a poem published in the Celebration of Young Poets - Minnesota and Wisconsin Spring 2005 edition, entitled "Green" and found on page 111, should anyone happen to have a spare copy hanging around their house. I was a 6th grader, and our teacher had us submit a poem each to the contest as part of our poetry unit.

Nothing else unless you count things like high honors for national honor society and scoring third highest in the sophomore class for WKCE testing. (And that totally shouldn't sound like boasting, sorry)
