In short

  • Hi Hi my name is Matt.  I was born in Ohio, lived in Chicago for a few years, and now live in Oak-land by the Sea.  I'm studying for my MFA in Writing at the California College of the Arts, and once I went to radio college for two weeks in Cincinnati.  The thing I remember most about radio college is that I wrote a fake commercial for a Beatles-themed restaurant, and I decided to drop out because I wanted to stay up all night and finish AMERICAN GODS.  But don't worry -- I just went and got a job at a radio station and got to play music on the RADIO.

    I'm writing a novel about a boy who moves to Ohio and gets chased through the woods by a dude in a devil mask; a comic book about Bob Dylan's deal with the devil; a movie about space pirates; and some other stuff.  The VENTURE BROTHERS is on the TV as I'm typing this.  It's sooo good.
