Where to start? Well, I've always loved writing, but there was a time, between 7th grade and college that I tried to walk away from it. However, even as i tried other professions and hobbies, I always ALWAYS came back to writing fiction.

One day, my mother came to me and told me that she believed I was meant to be a fiction author. I came back to writing full force and I loved every moment I spent with a pencil in my hand and every moment I spent with a word document open in front of me.

Other than that, I guess you should know that I almost never pic a title or genre for my book when I first start writing. I start each new manuscript without an idea and without a direction. How do I start? A sentance. Yup. Just one sentance will pop into my head and suddenly I've got 100 pages of story that poped out of the ground like a newly found fossil.

The book that inspired me more than any other:

On Writing by Stephen King.

This book inspired me because I had always learned about writing with a formula. For example, paragraphs have to be 3-5 sentances long, have a topic sentance, and a closing sentance, and so many other rules that I began to lose my passion for writing.

Then i read Stephen King's "On Writing" and it was a liberating experience! With Stephen King being one of my favorite authors already, it was easy to read his book and recieve his advise. I hight recommend the book and hope it helps other people.
