In short

  • I've had a lot of different jobs and haven't found the right one yet to cross over into career land.  I'm applying to grad schools now . . . and will hopefully start this Fall.  All the applications are in; now I just have to wait and see!

  • Despite being more of a glass-half-empty kind of person, I still keep pouring more water in to see if that'll change.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • The want-ads to find another job.
  • Stephanie Plum, the main character in most of Janet Evanovich's novels.  How fun it would be indeed!
  • Richard North Patterson, Erica Spindler, Janet Evanovich, Phillip Margolin, Lisa Scottoline (I'll have to check that one's spelling), Lee Child, Robert Parker, David Morrell, Patricia Cornwell.

    Favourite authors from years ago:  Victoria Holt, Jane Aiken Hodge, Mary Stewart, Dorothy Daniels, Alistair MacLean, Philippa Carr, Constance Heaven, Elizabeth Peters, Barbara Michaels.  Victoria Holt and Philippa Carr are the same person and neither is her real name. 

    Favourite authors from before that:  Barbara Cartland, Gladys Malvern, Esther Forbes (I loved the book Johnny Tremain when I was a kid), John Hersey (The Child Buyer is an amazing book), Ayn Rand (I loved Atlas Shrugged; to me, it was much better than The Fountainhead).
