In short

  • I'm a professional musician, (percussionist and arranger) working full time for the Royal Hawaiian Band in Honolulu. I grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, was educated in Boston and spent 10 years there. I have also spent 3 years in Maine and own a summer house there. I'm a bi-coastal snowbird!

  • I've played music with some of the top artists in the country, including Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick, Joel Grey, and Andy Williams.

    I now lead a quiet life of playing Hawaiian music beneath swaying palm trees on Waikiki's sandy shores. I work up close and personal wioth hula dancers. Somebody has to do it.

    As a writer, I enjoy sharing memories about my career in music as well as my childhood back in Maryland.
