In short

  • I love my life.  I'm a wife, mommy, and a nurse.  I love the fall, hiking, homeless missions, and college football.  I love to think, to rationalize, and to write.  I enjoy discussing religion and politics, even though most people don't.  I've had what I believe is an interesting life thus far, and there's so much more I aspire to do.  :-)  Everyone tells me I should write a book... and one day, I just might.

  • I can write backwards with strangely amazing accuracy.  With my left hand, too.  I practiced it during the Math classes of my formative years, which is probably why I suck at Math.

"Mother Theresa, A life of Love"

Most recently, the Twilight series.  I know, I'm too old- I guess it's my inner 13 year old girl that loves it so.

And last but not least, The B-I-B-L-E!
  • I just bought "Myths of the Cherokee" by James Mooney.  I'm very interested in the Cherokee lineage of my family, and have recently started attempting to trace my roots there.
  • I have several, depending on the season of the year:
    1. In the swing in our backyard
    2. On the beach or beside the pool
    3. In my chaise lounge, by the window when it's raining
    4. In my camp chair, on a trail, by the fire, on a fall afternoon.
    5. On a blanket at the park.
  • I like to blog about current events- both in the world and in my own life.  I write best about what I know best.
  • Fiction: Humor/Satire, Political, Religious/Inspirational

Non-Fiction: Body, Mind & Spirit, Humor, Memoir/Narrative Non-fiction, Outdoors & Nature, Parenting & Family, Politics & Current Affairs, Reference, Religion, Travel

  • Bella Swan.  While on the Isle of Esme.  No contest.
  • I admire any author who seeks to express him/herself in a positive manner.

I love reading true stories, particularly survival stories and stories of hope.  I guess it's the nurse in me.
