At times it seems that my life has been a testament to wishful thinking and poor judgment, but my wife of 35 years says she knows of nothing in the record to justify such an optimistic appraisal.

My wife said I needed a hobby, so I thought I'd try writing or perhaps learn to be a curmudgeon.  The writing is coming along fitfully, but she says I've become a world class curmudgeon and am now a pain in the ass to be around.

It's gratifying to have your work appreciated.
