When I was twelve years old, I experienced my first natural high in aerial acrobatics. I would have pursued it as a hobby, had it not been such an expensive one. It's no surprise that 10 years later I am looking for any excuse to write about the circus.

I have been writing since before I can remember. My first work was a short story about a timid blowfish seeking courage in the vast, dangerous ocean. I was in the second grade. My mother thinks this is the most brilliant production she has ever seen. Needless to say, I am embarrassed.

Metamorphosis is what I am hoping for. One powerful moment to wrap me up, tie me into a giant knot, and spit me out as the amazing writer I always wanted to be. Otherwise, I don't know that I will ever become a mature writer like those I idolize. All I know is that the more I write, the closer I get.
