In short

  • Coming from a background that is, for lack of a better word, weird.  I am not typical nor am I predictable, but I am honest.  If there is something that I don't like about you or your work I will honestly tell you my opinion!

    Question is: Can you handle that?

    There is nothing wrong with the perfect college educated writing that some people put out but I am more interested in the dark side of writing.  Let me hear what people are afraid to share and I will be happy every time.  Life is not all perfect and full of sweets and pretty things it is rough and without lubrication.  (You all know what I mean!)  So show me that part of you.

    Moving along to what many of you want to hear.  I am not perfect.  I have been broken in more ways that one can count on both hands and feet.  I have been raped, beaten, called everything in the book, and had to go through hell when I had already been living there for years.

    After fleeing an abusive marriage I promised that I would do whatever it took for me to make it in life.  I left him and we ended up homeless with nothing but our clothes and some crap that I was able to throw in storage using other people's cars.  But dispite it all I knew what I needed to do and it was time for me to do it.  I was worth more than having someone put me in the hopital or an early grave and my son was worth more than having to endure the drama of it all!

    As far as my writing goes, I have always been a writer.  It runs in my blood.  Even now in my son I see his inner writer come out in his songs that he sings from memory.  I take my claim to fame and hold on to it for dear life.
