And now, about me;
BIO of the Shugerbehr
The "Behr"
The Pen name of Shugerbehr was first pinned on me due to the fact that I was the owner of a remodeling company called, "Shuger Shack Inc." I wasn't called boss, I was called "Shugerbehr". I hired people out of DOC and Halfway houses, both male and female, and taught them the ropes of the trade’s, giving them a second chance. After the economical crunch began, I found out that the insurance, the material cost hikes, after the hurricanes and the simple fact that it just wasn't in the cards for me, and I had to retire from the trades (30 Years), for medical reasons. I have been in almost every aspect of construction from landscaping and surveying to welding and roofing. The only area that I stayed away from was electricity, isn't that a shock, (I'm sorry just had to go there)? Five years prior to this I went through an ugly divorce and gain full custody of my three beautiful children. Being a single father in it self is one of my inspirations to write. There is a lot to write about when you think of the fact that in all I have four children, the oldest one is 26 and she has two wonderful sons. We are all pretty tight nit!
The "Shuger"
This all started from a wonderful woman, my Mother. She is responsible for my Christen upbringing and my love for the Lord Jesus. (My main inspiration for writing!) Her and my father were quite strict however, looking back I don't blame them. I am the youngest of nine! My father was born in 1905 and my mother in 1938. Since I was born in the spring of 1962, you could imagine that there was a huge generation gap. There is four years between my next older brother and I. I don't even know my oldest sister. Any way, this turned out to be a good thing. I am "Old School"! This gives me a wider perception on life all in itself as it is another inspiration to write.
There is a lot of history and growing pains in between then and me becoming a father my self, but that is a book of a different color.
My children and grandchildren as I said earlier inspire me and they are a big part of, the now. I am also a major animal lover however I do have to say that my favorite is my Siberian Huskies (8) and my three cats. They never cease to amaze me. Six of them are pups from my first one "Precious". They in them self inspire me to not only laugh but to smile in aw and to get some great pleasure especially when things are on the low end of happiness.
I am also a lover of all types of music as well as I can play several different instruments. My first was the violin and I still play today. Someday I want to learn how to play the Banjo; I think that would be so cool. I even will tolerate some opera; (until I can escape).No for real I love all kinds of music, and this to inspires me to write
I love Gods green earth and all of his critters too. I love to go camping and fishing, hiking and biking. I love to some times just to get away from the world and kick of the shoes and feel it all under my feet.
Well! I think that I have covered it all; however I know that I am wrong.
So I'll finish with this one last thought.
This is me! Shugerbehr. God bless you all after this long talk,
Oh by the way did I say, "JESUS ROCKS"?
May God bless your comings and goings in every way and every day,
your Shugerbehr
