My claim to fame:
Please read this section first as a clue to finding out more about my work, otherwise you'll find yourself swamped by business writing which currently looms over all the more interesting stuff on my project list!
I'm working on a 'claim to fame' - and I'd truly love your help. Having met some great writers on webook, my own writing seems to be improving daily.
For some years I've written published articles, advertising and training materials and more recently turned to creative projects. I've studied different forms of writing with the Open University, Northern Playwrights Association and the London School of Journalism, together with Copy Writing with a leading industry specialist.
You'll find a lot of my material posted here. I like to dive in with the odd poem or story to projects that intrigue me, and I've set up quite a few of my own. I'm delighted with the storming success of Cinema 50 and encourage every film buff on the site to check in for a peek.
For anyone who's seeking ideas or advice on writing, please see my new project: Coffee Break. It's an interactive coffee bar in which to try out some ideas and practice writing for fun and profit (in the long run). Hop in and try a couple of exercises, and let me know on the site if you would like to see a topic not covered.
Most of all, I hope you will take a look at my fiction and life writing as these are the ones I'm really committed to developing. However, unless you're especially interested in business, just side-step anything that looks like it would send you to sleep in the blink of an eye.
I'd be delighted to offer feedback on your work, but please bear in mind, it could take some time before I can get to it. Likewise, if anyone is interested in checking out my work, let me point you to the projects I hope you'll enjoy most:
Avatar
This is my first serious novel. It's in progress as I write, but I'm adding to it weekly now, so please dive in and let me know what you make of it (if you like that kind of thing.)
The First Half A Million
This project is my own special favourite - a collection of lifetime journeys, measured in miles - dedicated to my wonderful parents.
Collected Misgivings
A daft collection of rants, raves and personal comedy moments that punctuate my life. Read for a giggle.
Meanwhile, for all the film fans who've been participating on the project Cinema 50, here's our very own blog! Please check it out for news, ideas, and everything else you want to say and do about the project:

UPDATE 16 August:
I'm on business for a few days so apologies if I'm unreachable - will do my best to catch up asap when I return.
Thanks for visiting.
