• Working on my second novel while the first one rests.  I'll tear it apart and re-write it again when I've got enough distance.  In the meantime, feel free to comment frankly on it in the My Projects area of my page.  I want to know what's awful, what's great and what's just wrong.

In short

  • I'm terribly optimistic, qualified for Mensa, but decided to propagate my genes instead of pursuing a career.  Currently, I am raising four incredibly different daughters and having the best time doing it!  In my spare time I'm writing the kind of sci-fi I like to read but hasn't been published much lately.  The kind that presumes we have a reasonable amount of intelligence and can solve the world's problems in time.

  • The space themed yearbook I did for my daughters' elementary school won the publisher's Best of the Best Competition in 2009 and the "Mighty Pines" one I did in 2010 was even better.  Yes, I'm the cool mom!

  • I write poetry for fun but don't care to read through the piles of bloated self-indulgent poetry written by most amateurs.  Therefore, I don't inflict my poetry on others unless I feel pretty confident I've cut it to the quick and it has something to offer the reader for their entertainment.
