About my life...mmm. Unconventional, in a word. I married a man I met on a t.v. game show. While the experience was memorable - the marriage was not. I worked on a cruise ship as one of several Julies. Again, an experience I highly recommend while trying to find one's bearings, unless one gets seasick. Recently, I experienced a loss I never dreamed possible after the passing of my two Standard Poodles, Aspen and Spencer. Grief which lead to the search and rescue of (hell dog) the Murph Meister, whom I trust will stop biting me at some point. I do love him, truely!
 
My interests are many. I have a great passion for all animals, working with children who struggle in school and at home, my writing life as frustrating and often stalled as it is, observing the daily grind and finding the hidden gems, working out and of course, yoga.

My credentials are modest. I've been fortunate to have a handful of feature stories published in the Washington Post, Bethesda Magazine, Woman's World and have producer/writer credits with HGTV. Many of my personal essays are on My Gather.com.
