In short

  • I have loved writing since the sixth grade although I started writing longer pieces in order to beat out another student who had written a longer paper than I.  Competitiveness is in my nature.  I want to write to inspire, to guide, to create, but what is more important to me is that my readers learn from and remember my work.  I don't want to be just another book to take on the airplane, but one you take a little bit more from each time you read it.

  • I like to crochet.  A lot.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Fiction: Children's, Crime, Historical Fiction, Humor/Satire, Literary, Political, Sci Fi/Fantasy, Women's Fiction

Non-Fiction: Body, Mind & Spirit, Computing & Internet, History, Humor, Outdoors & Nature, Parenting & Family, Pets, Politics & Current Affairs, Reference, Science, True Crime, Women's Studies

  • At the moment, the Inheritance Series ranks at the top.
  • Brisingr (Christopher Paolini) Definitely recommend!

Diana Gabaldon (audio books) - her entire series, although I have not begun on the John Grey books yet.
  • Curled up on the couch
On a grassy hill staring at some body of water.
  • I love journal-ling... Although I have found it interesting on a recent review of my entries that I rarely write what I actually think about when journal-ling...but rather it opens the world to me and my creative ideas.
  • Fiction: Action/Adventure, Coming of Age, Fairytales, Folklore & Mythology, Family Life & Saga, General, Multicultural, Romance, Sci Fi/Fantasy, Women's Fiction

Poetry: Experimental, General, Narrative, Personal / Confessional, Prose, Romantic / Love

  • For now, I just want to figure out my own character.
  • Jane Austen (she's my 8th cousin, six times removed btw) :)
