In short

  • A graphic designer by day, I once won top honors in an international credit card design contest with a card I designed for McDonald's and Coca Cola. Since I'm a small town southern girl who never studied design at the college level, it was quite a feat. I also made the cover of "Advertising Age" and received a nifty little trophy, which now resides at the bottom of a dusty box in my garage.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Books I haven't enjoyed would be a much shorter list!
  • I'm a huge Stephen King fan and have been working my way through all of his books again. It's interesting to see how his style developed over the years. Read "The Pillars of the Earth" recently and it is now on my "Favorites" list. Also just finished "The Final Confession of Mabel Stark" - a novel based on a real person. Loved it.
  • I'll read the back of a cereal box standing on my head and enjoy it...but on my couch, wrapped in a comfy blanket with my cat in my lap - pure bliss.
  • Just being me is all the stress I can take at the moment.
  • Stephen King and Jennifer Weiner - I will devour anything they write.
