I am a voracious reader and an ardent writer. I have been writing stories for quite some time now, although I never had them read by anyone but me. About a year ago, I published some of my fan fiction stories and got a good response. Encouraged, I finally sat down, gathered up the plethora of ideas that never saw the light of the day and decided to publish them online.
I am essentially a science student, but literature is my love. Often, I am told that I draw out my novels, especially the romance ones. I say, don't blame me. I am just absolutely in love with the old-school romances, where they so successfully put the feelings into words in long, detailed paragraphs. Pure genius. Currently (for over a year now), I am really interested in the Russian house of literature. Chekov, Gorky, Dostoevsky, Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn, Nabokov and obviously, Tolstoy. It is a shame, really, that I don't actually know Russian because I would love to read them in their original language.
I welcome constructive criticism, I believe they will help me as a writer.
P.S: I use British English spellings, so please don't consider 'colour' or 'programme' typos. Double quotation marks are preferred in the United States, and both single and double quotation marks are used in the United Kingdom. So, for me, using single quotes in dialogues is not incorrect either.
