In short

  • In 1952 whilst flying over The Fucarwi Plains in Central Africa the de Stratford’s light plane was lost in a dust storm. When the wreckage was finally discovered some ten days later, only Ted’s parent’s bodies were found. There was no sign of the young Ted de Stratford. Some 15 years later a young teenage boy was discovered by Prof Gustaf Hoffman (explorer and trouser press heir) living with a herd of Wildebeest. This boy was later discovered to be Ted de Stratford.
Brought up by Prof Hoffman, Ted re-entered the world and is now a fully functional human being, although every year at the beginning of the Great Wildebeest Migration, Ted de Stratford flies to Africa to join the Great Trek and renew old acquaintances.

  • Had my own radio show and worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company (backstage shifting scenery).
Had a play on at the RSC's fringe season.
Was interviewed by Harry Secombe for HIghway (which won't mean a thing if you are outside the UK)
