In short

  • I am an orchestra director for the Washington School District in Washington, MO.  I have been teaching for one year.  While not a huge writer myself, I strive to at least TRY to be creative, and almost all the time you can find me with pen and paper to keep myself busy.  Another thing I always have on me is a book.  I was told about this sight by a friend who also reads alot, and told me how amazing the writers on here are.

  • My biggest claim to fame (not so big) is being the youngest teacher in the district, and taking over a large orchestra program.  Other "famous" moments of mine would include performances is po-dunk Cape Girardeau on my violin, such as playing with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Fiction: Humor/Satire, Literary, Religious/Inspirational, Romance, Short Story, Women's Fiction

    Non-Fiction: Humor, Memoir/Narrative Non-fiction, Reference, Religion, Women's Studies

  • Tuesdays With Morrie, To Kill a Mockingbird, Twilight series (guilty pleasure), Harry Potter series (not quite so guilty pleasure), Angela's Ashes, Tis, Teacher Man...many more, can't think of them at the moment.
  • Hocus Pocus by Kurt Vonnegut.  My first experience with Vonnegut, but my sister LOVES him.  The next book in the pile is Almost Moon by Alice Sebold.
