Well, I am now a Mercyhurst College alumni, having finally graduated college with a degree in geology after 5 long years of study there. I love to read all kinds of things, but especially anything with dragons or wizards in it. I'm attempting to write a few stories that I've had in mind here, most of them belonging to a rather long series, but I'm also attempting to compile my thoughts together for a vampire trilogy. One thing I've discovered, however, is that I seem to have many issues with writing fiction. Poetry is easier.
I've also started a group project which I request as many people join as possible. The point of the project was just to see what people could do by building off of each other. The world and characters are relatively undeveloped, so I'm pretty much leaving such tasks up to the writers. The project is Quest of the Crystals, and I think the more people who write the more interesting the story will become. So please, take a look, and let me know if you're interested!!

One of my favorite series is the Dragon Riders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. I'm also a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Bruce Coville and J.K. Rowling. I tend to read mostly fantasy, anything involving dragons will catch my interest (the Eragon books are soo much better than the movie!!!) I'm also very into vampires, but no, that does not mean I've read sappy books like Twilight. I like vicious vamps that create chaos, not lovey ones. (before I get attacked, I'm not saying that the books may or may not be good, just saying they don't match my taste.) Currently reading the Dexter series, and am still deciding if I like the books better than the show or not. (right now, leaning towards the books being better, highly recommend them.) Recently finished reading the Secret of Dragonhome and the Pit Dragon Trilogy, both of which I HIGHLY recommend. Emily Dickinson and Li Po are two of my favorite poets, but I do like to read many others. However, I do not spend all my time with my nose in fiction. I strongly enjoy reading non-fiction books, particularly ones about Volcanoes, our world, and the universe. (I am, after all, a geology major...)

Just started reading the Sherlock Holmes books. Afterwards I'm hoping to move on to some books about Merlin and Camelot, then hopefully I'll get around to a number of other books I've got sitting around here.

Could read anywhere, doesn't really matter to me.
