In short

  • In first grade, Jeffery cracked his skull and we no longer had a recess for the rest of the year.  In second grade, we had three different teachers and our classsroom was held in the school library.  In third grade, we tried to runaway during recess only to discover a very foreign and surreal village behind the school.  In fourth grade, I thought Jewish was the the same thing as 7th Day Adventist until 10th grade.  In fifth grade, I vowed to fight with the Black Panthers.  In 6th grade, I played the the Jaws tune on cello by ear.  In 7th grade, I cheated on a math test to enter the state's all Junior HIgh Math Competition and finished, you guessed it, last.  In eighth grade,....tba...gotta sleep.
