My claim to fame:
Fame is for the dead.
If you're an angry and depressed kid who writes bad poetry, don't bother with me. Work on improving your craft, then come play with the adults. I have better things to do than deal with the plethora of complexes that are associated with being a teenager today. I've been there--most of us have--and you'll make it out alive just as well. Keep in mind that it's impossible to write decent poetry until *at least* two requirements are met: 1) You have to develop a certain level of craft, which takes a lot of time, self-criticism and feedback from your peers; and 2) You must have experienced enough of life to elucidate that experience on the page. Since you can't arbitrarily skip the years of hardship between the ages of 13 and 30, try working on your craft instead of pretentiously believing that you're already there. In fact, if you think you're there--no matter how successful you are--you're in the wrong business. Write greeting cards, if that's the case, because the world of art doesn't need you.
