In short

  •   Creative to a fault, perfectionist to the extreme, I love to learn new things.  I love to share things that I have learned.  I always aspire to be the great Canadian female equivalent of Stephen King, but I am currently happy to be creatively  pursuing my passions.

  •   I appeared as an extra in 21 Jumpstreet .  This opportunity  provided me the privilege of encountering Mr. Johnny Depp.  A true highlight of memories from years past.

I experienced the thrill of the big jackpot win.  During my first casino visit I purchased two 10 dollar pull tab tickets.  I managed to acquire the progressive jackpot which was at a ripe and healthy balance of 17 + thousand dollars.  WHEW  knees buckling a riveting experience to say the least.

I was fortunate enough to be acknowledged during my senior year of English.  A short story I wrote was published in the Canadian School Yearly Publication of students work.

I received an Editor's Choice Award from Poetry.com, subsequently my poem was published.

I have written to the newspaper regarding editorials, my opinion one of my submissions was chosen to be published in the Vancouver Province Newspaper.

I strive for more accomplishments to occur in my future endeavors.  I at present find myself having to contend with many personal issues which keep my attention elsewhere these days.  I am continually planning, researching and building for a start of great things to come.

I hold a strong passionate love for animals.  I was also able to complete my G.E.D. and attend college to obtain my Diploma for Veterinarian Assistant, which is something I hold in high regards to my personal achievement .

I was fortunately selected in a rare opportunity to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when I was 12 years old.  Ironically my Elementary School was named Queen Elizabeth, I found the opportunity to have her hold my hand in her prestigious gloved hand a true honor.

Queen Elizabeth Elementary School chose me to host our Christmas Pageant.  Beside myself with the opportunity, I very much felt I held celebrity status for the night.  My Grandma was so proud she bragged through the whole event.  It was truly an amazing occurrence that I experienced.

After performing in numerous air band contests at high school,  I was ever so pleased when selected as the contestant whom would be representing our school, in the All High School's Air Band Competition.  Held in my home auditorium, I placed 5th, a decent title in the ranks.   Unfortunately only the top three performers would be able to compete at BC Place Stadium.  The grand prize, 10,000.00.  I later learned one of my teachers judged the event and purposely avoided voting for me.  His concern being the appearance of favoritism or fixed results.  So close, yet so far away.  My performance did place me in the opening pages of our second release yearbook that school year.

At the ago of 19 I applied for "Smile of the Day" in The Province newspaper.  My grandma was terminally ill with Cancer, I thought this would cheer her.  I was selected and featured as "Smile of The Day", unfortunately this transpired shortly after she had passed away.

I aspire to add future fame and fortune, at this time I can only offer what I have detailed here.  Pretty decent start I think.

  •   I've mostly been reading documents lately due to current life situations.  I do  however look forward  to starting a book soon, Grimm's Grimmest, by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.  I loved fairy tales as a child.  I am eager to see what the grimmer, horror versions of my beloved tales will have in store.......
  •   I find the  majority of my reading has been in the bathroom, on the potty or in the tub.

I also read in bed, while emerged in other activities, on transit, in the passenger seat, on vacation and should it be of a gripping, spellbinding interest Ive even been found to  read while walking down the road.

Everywhere I can think I've been I probably have read there at some point or another.

    Poetry: General

  • Carrie
  •   Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume were my first real Authors by choice.  I worked through those books in a mode of a passionate nature.

School reads that touched me profoundly or had lasting impressions are Lord of the Flies, The Outsiders, Diary of Anne Frank, Charlotte's Web and Of Mice and Men.

I read my first Adult Novel, Carrie by Stephen King.  I managed in one sitting to do so.  I couldn't put the book down, I read it from beginning to end.  This is where the love affair began for me....

I became very fond of Danielle Steele during my late teens and early twenties.  Which  brought a keen interest in Mary Higgins Clark and her work.

I enjoyed those books, however I found they were somewhat of an easy read for me.  Then my dream emerged, to be the female version of Stephen King.  A little more cut throat by a female author, less of the mystery/romance and more of the thriller/horror.

I had encountered a few books by other Authors that proved to be very poignant and profound over the years.  I have yet to find a writer that holds the same effect as Stephen King for me.  He truly writes what I want to read.....

I have enjoyed true crime novels on occasion, self-help, how-to, and the paranormal or occult categories.

True ghost stories are a sure hit for me, as is Alfred Hitchcock.

I own a fair number of Sylvia Browne Books, yet to be read.  I thoroughly enjoy her work, I know these will be hits as well.

Certain books I purchased used repetitively through the years for ongoing situations are in categories of astrology, home remedies, quirky facts, movie guides and various others.

I enjoy reading biographies, not  necessarily auto-biographies.  I ravaged my Marilyn Monroe Bios so many times they are ragged  as well as James Dean's and other legends.
