In short

  • I'm the web producer for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News, a Mary Ann Liebert Inc., publishers' trade journal. Before that I managed web projects for Lillian Vernon & Speigel Brands and before that, I was an editor/ designer for a ArtsWestchester (though it was known as the Westchester Arts Council in those days) and a writing tutor for Pace University.  As far as publishing goes, I have had a number of articles published in local newspapers, two poems featured in anthologies  and I contributed an essay to Jan 20 2009: True Stories, Real People, One Day.

  • I've promised my characters that the money their books raise will go to their favorite charities and assured them that I will let them choose the charities. Now they just bug me to finish their stories and get them published...I just can't win.

My Favorites: Reading and Writing

  • Fiction: Sci Fi/Fantasy

  • The Death Gate cycle, Simmon's Illium & Olympos, Tolkien's LoTR, Medalon, Treason Keep, first 4 of Jordan's WoT books, LeGuin's Earthsea novels, Lackey's Valdemar series, Rice's vampire novels, McCaffrey's Pern series and Tower & Hive series (except the last book), Angels & Demons (wasn't a fan of DaVinci Code)...
  • Terry Goodkind's Wizard's First Rule (because I finally found the first book!), Anne Rice's Angel Time, Steven R. Lawhead's Hood and Anne Bishop's Belladonna. Might read Phoenix Unchained too...
  • Curled up under the covers or somewhere sunny and warm.
  • I won third prize in an international poetry contest for a sonnet called 'Divination' and my writing has been published in newspapers, magazines, internet sites and several anthologies. Now I just need a novel published and I can take over the world!
  • Fiction: Sci Fi/Fantasy

  • Iron Man because Tony Stark has a cool mechanical suit to tool around in--now that's awesome!
  • Anne Rice, Mercedes Lackey, Frank Herbert, Ursula K. Le Guin, Anne McCaffrey, Dan Simmons, Margaret Weis, Tracey Hickman, Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Terry Prachet and the list goes on...
